Menopause In A Positive Way
For some women, menopause is a blessing; for others, it's a continuation of the curse. It depends upon one's point of view. So, how is it possible to accept menopause in a positive way?
Every woman reacts differently to this mid-life change. Some view it as a "new lease on life," encompassing all of the physical, emotional, and sexual freedom associated with it. It is a time when a lot of a woman's lifelong responsibilities change and possibly new ones begin.
Other women feel it to be a sad end to that part of life that was, to them, extremely fulfilling and nurturing. Being a mother is a large part of the majority of women's identity. It can be very difficult to let go of.
The acceptance of menopause, when viewed as a positive benefit, is most likely associated with some immediate benefits:
-No longer do you have to deal with monthly menstrual cycles which include the cramping, the bloating, and the mood swings.
-You can have sex as often as you like without having to worry about becoming pregnant.
-For some women sex is even better than before!
-Your relationships reach an entirely new level of communication. Menopause is the quintessential sign that you have reached an emotional and physical maturity to be able to handle anything that life throws at you.
If you embrace life and live it to the fullest, even menopause won't slow you down. Menopause can be just another opportunity to embrace your body and love it for what it is as well as the changes it is going through at this stage in your life.
Remember what it was like when you had your first period? While you may have felt a bit awkward, your body changed and you blossomed into a woman. Some part of that felt good, right? You know the part where you realize what a glorious gift it is to be able to give birth.
The same is true of menopause -- during which time there might be some periods of awkwardness as you learn to adapt to your changing body, both physically and emotionally. However once you have passed through this period, you blossom once again into your mature self, an empowered woman filled with new wonder and excitement and the ability to see the world in a different way once again.
This is another milestone in your life which should be embraced with positive mental and emotional thought. Loving relationships, intimacy, peace, acceptance and communication can be part of your circle of life after menopause. Stick close to your friends and with their comfort and reassurance you will all find a new path of immeasurable freedom and joy.
"If God is the center of your life, no words will be needed. Your mere presence will touch their hearts."
